Wellesley’s alumnae are a who’s who of trailblazers and barrier breakers across all fields.
Honoring our Wellesley Alumnae
Alumnae Achievement Award
The Wellesley College Alumnae Achievement Award recognizes alumnae who have brought honor to themselves and to Wellesley College through their outstanding achievements. Wellesley’s highest accolade is presented annually to graduates of distinction.
We are happy to announce the 2024 Alumnae Achievement Award Recipients. The Alumnae Achievement Award ceremony will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Syrena Stackpole Award
The Syrena Stackpole Award is presented annually in recognition of an alumna’s dedicated service and exceptional commitment to Wellesley College. The award was established in 1982 to honor Syrena Stackpole, Class of 1909, an attorney who offered to rewrite the wills of alumnae wishing to leave money to the College, free of charge. Besides offering gratis legal services to such alums, Syrena’s dedication to Wellesley was evident in her attendance at 63 reunions.
Sed Ministrare Volunteer Award
The Sed Ministrare Volunteer Award was created in 2014 to honor and celebrate outstanding volunteer service to Wellesley. The recipients’ efforts fulfill the Alumnae Association’s mission of supporting institutional priorities by connecting alumnae to the College and each other. They have embodied the College’s motto, “Non Ministrari sed Ministrare.”
